Jenna: Weeknight freedom

Sometimes the weeks get so packed with plans and responsibilities that it’s hard to just relax. I haven’t been feeling 100% this week, and felt especially off on Tuesday. I had plans to attend a happy hour but decided to pass.  As much as I hated to miss out on the fun, there’s something liberating about cancelling plans and having an open weeknight.

Other than getting a few things done around the house, I really just wanted to lay on my couch and recharge. The US Men’s soccer team was playing, so I caught the first part of the game while finishing up some work at my desk.

How’s that for some red white and blue? 🙂

After that, I headed home. My friend Katie stopped by to catch the end of the game (and that heartbreaking defeat). It was my roommates birthday so we decided to vedge on the couch, paint our nails, and eat pizza. It reminded me of those awesome sleepovers I use to have in middle school.

It was ultimate relaxation. I didn’t have to go anywhere, do anything, and I let my body rest and relax.

Looking forward to this weekend!
