Phew! The last four days were amazing. I spent lots of time with lots of people I really care about. What more could you ask for? I think my soul needed this. I’ve had lots of extra stress lately (mostly family related) and it was nice to kick back and relax with some of my people.
Friday I woke up and did some yoga. This little mister was trying to get in on the fun:
(I’ve decided that Beaux is WAY more popular than me. Any time I post him on Facebook or Instagram I automatically get triple the number of usual likes. What’s up with that?)
Here are some additional pictures from the last few days that can speak for me. They don’t capture all of the fun, but get pretty close.
Rose and I loving the beach.
I laughed more the last four days than I have in a while. I mean look at the size of that pork roll? I actually only had a few beers while on the beach Saturday, and stuck to water the rest of the night. However, the fact that Blackberry Brandy and Pork Roll ended up on the table in front of me at a retirement party seemed to make all the sense in the world.
I know deep down inside that the beach heals things for me. I’ve always loved the water, sun and sand. It has a way of putting things in perspective for me and making every day stress disappear. I spent a lot of time on the beach the last three days with some really incredible people. I feel so grateful for all that I have. I said “thank you” silently to myself about 100 times over the last few days. I said it out loud a lot too.
I’m exhausted, but oh so happy.
